JEDDO 7.5MVA and Okpara Substations Control Room, Switchyard, Indoor Panel

 

 

The 7.5MVA substation at Jeddo was constructed and commissioned by IEL in May 2011. It is meant to reduce the load on the Ekpan 15MVA substation. The substation is meant to boost electricity in the following communities: Jeddo , Obeji, Ughoton, Ugbokodo, Amadino and Obodo.

A 15km 33kV line was constructed to extend electricity to Obodo and Omadino in Warri South for the first time.

A similar 7.5MVA power substation like that of Jeddo was constructed and commissioned in August 2010. The 7.5 MVA substation was meant to reinforce electricity in the following communities: Okpara inland, kokori, Evu and its environs.
